My husband can’t complain that I am wasting my time
A few days ago I was watching a TV show that mentioned making money doing small tasks online. Intriguing, I thought. A quick google search later and here I am, a mechanical turk. I wasn’t expecting to make much as a mechanical turk so I wasn’t discouraged by the 5 cent jobs my husband scoffed at. For me, I’m enjoying the gratification that I can spend some time on the internet, which I enjoy doing as a way to wind down after a hectic day and that the time I spend there be of use to someone who can’t spare the time to do these small tasks. Of course it doesn’t hurt to be rewarded for it as well. My husband can’t complain that I am wasting my time on the computer anymore. As they say, every little bit helps and I am a true believer in that. Especially since I’m only 4 months away from baby number 2. I remember feeling rather lonely and alienated during my first maternity leave. While everyone I knew was at work, I was at home with baby and when all my friends were meeting up for drinks, I was happy to just soak in the tub for a little while. Although it is lots of fun to play with baby, the truth is baby sleeps most of the day and mommy is left with nothing to do. That may have been so last time but even with my eldest in school next year, I will have something to do while baby is napping. I’m a Mechanical Turk so I will do something useful in my spare time! I’m definitely looking forward to that.
