I can prove them wrong!
I heard about Mechanical Turk through one of my “Mommy” message boards. There was a thread posted about work-from-home opportunities, and someone was derisively talking about Mechanical Turk and how there was no possible way to make money on it. I am a natural skeptic, and honestly, if someone speaks poorly of something, it only makes me want to check it out more. I visited Mechanical Turk, and was intrigued enough to sign up and give it a shot. I noticed that many of the tasks only paid pennies, but that there were also many other opportunities that paid more, but required more effort. I have participated in both types of HIT’s, and found myself enjoying the tasks and different things I was asked to do. I never expected to like Mechanical Turk so much based on the negative things some other people were saying, but I am glad I decided to form my own opinion and check it out for myself, so I can prove them wrong!
