We live in a world where people are worthless and worth less everyday

It’s not easy being a college student in this economy. Sure it’s fun for a while and then the bills stack up. I’m trying out this MTurk for a while. At the very least it will help with the bills until I can find a better job. It is a humbling experience fnding yourself working for pennies with a college education. Maybe things will get better soon, maybe they won’t. Life wasn’t suppose to be like this. Hopes and dreams were things that try to keep your focus afloat. Recently, having to move back in with my parents, I realized that dreams and hopes were crutches. A religious delirium. I personally thought of myself as an individual. Now I see myself and nothing but a broken cog in society. I contribute nothing, I exist to be used, and at the end I will be discarded. We live in a world where people are worthless and worth less everyday. People are essentially meaningless drones floating on a hunk of rock screaming through an endless void. Our creation meaningless and our passing eventual. The disappearance of our species back into the darkness from which it came will have no impact on the universe. I sit on my bed, laptop on my legs, contemplating an existence where I have no meaning. Even these words I type are a distraction, to be briefly read and then discarded. Thoughts formed and then expunged through a machine. Fleeting thought sailing into nothingness.
